Exchange Project

Objectives:

  • To strengthen and build relationships between members of the European Masorti organizations, based on exchange visits
  • To be operated by volunteers, which will be inexpensive, and to be made available to members of our organization

This service should be accessible to our members and designed to encourage volunteers to take an active role in our organization, creating a more dynamic atmosphere.

Organization:

A team of volunteers is led by a project manager. The role of the team is:

  • To find and select volunteer host families
  • To be the mediator between families
  • To organize activities that bring together the group
  • If it is a trip for children, provide an adult who accompanies the group during the trip and takes responsibility for all the required paperwork (e.g. passports, licenses, reserve money, medical insurance)

For a trip of an adolescent (13-18 years old):

  • At this age, adolescents are expected to have a language proficiency that is sufficient to communicate with the host family.
  • The responsible person organizes 2 activities per week. This is to relieve parents and help youth to find their own friends.
  • The host family must remain in its principal place of residence near the location of the local organization.
  • If a group is travelling together, then an adult must accompany them to their destination and on the return trip.
